Mandalizing Education Part I

I, din't indite any ideas or views on this key issue till now.. I wanted to first watch da flow.. as in n0t thewind , but the ideas. Now, I have formed an opinion, and hence I m chipping it in.. here..

OBC Reservation -- Part I

The entire conspiracy of reservation was born in early 1970’s. The highly controversial report with complete documentation was ready by 1980s. No leader in the Indian Government saw its importance, both, in ruining the future of crores of students and also in winning another term for their government.
Then came Mr VP Singh. He used this report, which is also called as the Mandal Commission, to win his party another term in the office in the world's largest democracy. Thnks to petty politics and wanton misuse of power, there were riots and fierce clashes between the so- called " oppressed" community and the general class.

It was followed by public self - immolation of an activists, which was nearly 70% burns, in North Campus. Even then, this outrageous and politicaly stirred move could not be thwarted. The reservations were given. Publically, the general class was made insecure of their existance. This morally incorrect act of the government murdered the spirit of MERIT.Since then, everything was serene in this context.

On 6th April, news and media agencies reported the tumulting news of the increased seizure of the seats: the OBC reservations upto 27%, which adds the total reservation to 49.5%.

What an irony.?

Reservations have become a joke. We all know the statistics. More than 70 % of teh Dalit and backward students dont go for eleventh standard. The astonishing fact is that, more than 80% of the seats of the Engineering institutes are left out... all vacant. Is there a need to increase the burden over the existing frailing infrastructure of education both at the graduate and post graduate levels. With just 20 central universitites in the country, where will the students go? Surely, this is a colassal failure of the government and the state ?
