Medha Patkar and Narmada Bachhaon Andolan(NBA).
Since last eight days, patkar was on an indefinite hunger strike. Various party leaders came and expressed their solidarity for the cause. Patkar is a part of the bigger game, which is fighting for the restoration of alleged 35,000 families. Patkar seeks two fold demands. First is the demand of the prior restoration of the families to be affected and the second is the demand of decreasing the height of dam.
though the latter one is not in focus and still under grey, but the former one has gained weight and has been in the lime light, all the thanks to Media attention. Medha has been fighting for this noble cause since its intial stage. Medha is a strong contender for noble peace prize. What I mean to say is that A person who is in the lime light for some time now, can she be put behind the bars?
Yes, Medha patkar has arrested and has been coersively shifted to AIIMS. She along with a couple of her adherants have been treated like this. Some of them were beaten for being firm on their demand, while others were just sacked into the black police van.
India being the beiggest Democracy, shows us this.
IS the forcible removal of the silent demonstrators Valid? Does the meaning ful mode of protest deserves this kind of unhuman treatment.

We as denizens of India will have to raise our voice at each and every forum for such issues.
Come on people, This government must know the power of the youth and the power of the masses.
